Murwillumbah Rowing Club was first established in 1902 and was called "Tweed River Rowing Club". Over the years the club faced many challenges including being washed away by flooding.
In 1976 the club was reestablished and called Murwillumbah Rowing Club. With addtional financial help from the state government a new purpose built clubhose was completed by the beginning of the 1999/2000 season. It became the training course for the Sydney Olympic rowing team.
The club is situated on the beautiful Tweed River only minutes from the main town full of cafes and speciality shops. With a 2000m course it is suitable for hosting all types of regattas.
We cater for all types of rowing from social to competitive and whilst our membership is predominately masters we encourage all ages in our Learn to Row programs as well as school rowing.
